Welcoming Our Newbies To HOLAH and so much more

 It has been a very busy few months at HOLAH and we are loving it!We are now loving on 14 children at The House Of Love and Hope, with our youngest being only 3 months old and our oldest being 10 years old.  We feel fortunate to be able to help these little people and get them to a better place.With no further ado, we would like you to "meet" our three newcomers…Carter – Our busy 4 year old who does NOT stop.  Carter has Down Syndrome and is the sweetest little guy.  He loves to throw EVERYTHING, loves the trampoline and finds Boo, his new little friend hilarious, Carter started school and is thriving.  He really does make everyone that meets him smileNathi – Nathi joined us via our Vikela Baby Saver. As a beautiful 2 month old who is alert, smiley, happy and content. She did give us a scare a few weeks ago when she suddenly started having breathing difficulties where after she spent a few days in hospital but made a quick recovery.Londi – We were called one Sunday morning by community members, who were concerned that a small child with special needs had been left locked alone in a house near them. We went and fetched her and later made contact with the mother. Londi has remained in our care and we have since learnt the extent of her special needs. She has an extremely rare disorder and every day is a miracle for her. Last week Londi stopped breathing, which was frightening. Luckily we managed to get her breathing again as the ambulance arrived. We have since had the Paedatric pallative care dr here at HOLAH to talk to the staff and answer all their questions. 

 Have you had a chance to visit Garden@Hopshop? 

This is now part of our charity Hop shop at 121 Helen Joseph road, Glenwood Durban,OPEN 8 to 4 weekdays  and 8 till 2 weekends.We have some stunning plants on sale. A variety from succulents, hydrangea’s, dischorisandra, geraniums, red bromeliad, plant brush, compost and fire wood and so much more.Just like charity Hop shop, all profits made through the sale of the plants go towards running HOLAH baby house and our other outreach projects.We would also like to appeal to all the green finger supporters out there; we would love your slips, unwanted plants, or even if you are able to propagate and donate plants to us, old pots and gardening tools. We are accepting all Gardening donations to add to our collection to sell.We can collect directly from you!For Hop shop donations, Garden@Hopshop donations and HOLAH donations just send us a whatsapp to make it happen. Kim 083 232 5501

 A Huge Thank You!

 THANK YOU to each and every single one of you, for supporting our raffle and for making this incredible raffle happen.We managed to raise a whopping R120 800!!!Firstly without the volunteer Marketing Sub- Committee putting this raffle together, sourcing the fabulous prizes, selling tickets and driving others to sell tickets on our behalf this raffle would never have been as successful as it was.Secondly, a special thanks to Dominque who runs this committee, Dom we are blown away at your commitment to the committee and the amount of time and effort you put in to making this raffle such a success.
