"If there ever comes a time when the women of the world come together purely and simply for the benefit of mankind, it will be a force such as the world has never known.” ~ Matthew Arnold.

We are so proud to be a female-run organisation. This women's month we celebrate all the women that give their all with passion and dedication to HOLAH, BOP, charity Hop shop and Vikela baby saver. We also dedicate women's month to every courageous woman that has ever come forward and asked for help!We salute the women we love so much who care for every child that comes into HOLAH as if they were their own.
These women are a force to be reckoned with! They are strong, loving and brave women. We salute the teams of women that give endless advice, support and therapy. We salute the hard-working “Gogo's” whom we support through BOP and with our help have set up 'soup kitchens' in their own homes to provide meals daily for hundreds of children in their communities that might not get a healthy meal for days if it wasn't for these dedicated women. We salute the women that come forward through our Vikela baby saver, vulnerable and scared. Surrendering a child is something we continue to educate communities as a last resort. Through our outreach work, we have been able to build relationships allowing for mothers to seek out our advice on what these options look like for the best possible outcome for them and their babies, so often these women know that they can not look after their babies and yet want to do the right thing. We salute the women that work at Hop shop who know the importance of bringing in the funds we need to be able to do what we do, to run the entire organisation. They work so hard and are always finding ways to connect with our customers, drive sales and receive more donations. We salute the incredible ladies that are being resourceful while times are tough, coming into hop shop to buy clothing in bulk and resell in their communities and rural areas, giving people, living in these areas, a chance to purchase items that they might not have had access to.And last but not least we want to salute the team that work behind the scenes to make everything happen! Our Board of directors and the sub-committees. Who voluntarily step up to make a change in our organisation. These women know no bounds when it comes to making things happen and we are in awe of how much they are willing to give. Likhon iThemba would not be where it is today if it wasn't for all these powerful women listed above, many of which have been behind and alongside us for the last decade. “Where there is a woman, there is magic” ~ Ntozake Shange
